The TC-2 (Thread Controller 2) loom is a digital Jacquard loom. The weaver creates files that can be read as a binary code by the machine, telling the loom when to lift each heddle. I use a variety of weaving structures, using each pixel as the overlapping of one thread. There are many ways to use this tool, but I primarily create one-weft black and white designs that utilize weaving structures to create photographic images and repeat patterns.
